TOUR JOURNAL

-Bullhead City and Flagstaff Nov 11th and 12th 2006-

It's currently 12:00am and we are on our way back from the glorious mountain town of Flagstaff, Arizona. Home of the NAU Lumberjacks and European style coffee. Apparently, in Europe you cannot add exotic flavors to your coffee. You know, crazy flavors like vanilla. At least this is what was explained to us by the girl at the coffee shop. Anyone ever heard of French Vanilla?

It's been another great mini tour. We started out from Phoenix on Saturday and headed for Laughlin, Nevada, where the beer flows like well, beer. We checked into our hotel and immediately headed out to our gig at the Riviera Rec Center. It was a cool little place that had great time-killing activities like pool, basketball and shotgun tag. The kids love it.

The show was a success and we made a ton of new fans and also got to play with our good friends Lesser Heroes and The Heartless. Two great bands that you should check out.

After the show we headed back to the hotel/casino where Nick and Will immediately found a home at the blackjack table. Their luck proved to be good that night and they were rewarded with a few extra bucks and a ton of free drinks.

Laughlin is a cool town but it is different than Vegas. Basically, it's Vegas on ADD medicine. Everything moves at a slower pace, especially the drink girls.

Later that night Chris decided to lay on single bet at the Roulette table. $5 on 9 and another 5 bones on red. One single spin earned him $175. Chris was so happy that immediately cashed out and bought some new gold teeth. Chris is so crunk.

We then retired to the room where Johnny, Carlos and Matt from the Lesser Heroes were staying and began to live it up. We had a good time with them. We watched Heidi and sipped on mimosas. It was sweet.

Checkout came quickly and we found ourselves searching for a cheap brunch. We ate at the Ramada Inn and devoured pound after pound of powder eggs and sausage. It was actually one of the better buffets that we had eaten, but do you really care?

After our gluttonous feast, we headed towards Flagstaff. It was a nice little 3 hour drive that introduced us to Cheese Curds at the A&W in some little town that we cannot remember the name of. A word of advice to you fine folks out there: NEVER EAT THE CHEESE CURDS AT A&W. Your heart will thank you.

The show started promptly at 8pm with the band Ink Savage. Good kids with lots of energy. Lesser Heroes played after them and tore the place down. After we enlisted the National Guard to rebuild it we took the stage. The crowd responded well to our set especially after Will removed his pants. Good times.

The real treat of the night was watching the band after us named Telescope. Holy crap, what a great band. Please check them out and if you get a chance to see them in Flagstaff then you better go. We will do our best to get them down to Phoenix for some shows. People need to see them.
