The last two out of town shows for a while. We
headed out to Safford on Friday evening and arrived at about 8pm. It
was a nice drive that involved a great deal of rock formations, twisty
one-lane roads and a genius Nissan Maxima driver who was nice enough to
drive 40 mph in front of us. We salute you, jackass. The show was at a
cheeky little club called The Stir right on Main Street in Safford.
There weren't as many people there as we had hoped on but it was still
fun. We were happy to play with our good friends Mayday Mayday from LA.
It seemed as though the majority of the bands were fairly loud. The
owner was nice enough to offer us some earplugs. These were special
earplugs for you see they were made out of marshmallow. Yep, you read
that right, marshmallows. When we were done with them we roasted them
over a campfire and told horror stories. Tom's scary story was about a
band that went to Safford and put marshmallows in their ears.
Frightening.

Chris doing his best Velociraptor impersonation,
why not?

After the show, we retired to the Best Western and
enjoyed a quiet evening of movie watching. Dodgeball and Hi Fidelity
were the flicks of the night. Will snuggled with Nick, Tom snuggled
with a pillow and Chris snuggled with a rough trick from Safford named
Jackknife. Sorry, no pictures.

A special thanks goes out to Jill and
Caitie hooked us up with a sweet gift basket, full of assorted
candy and other goodies, our blood sugar has never been higher.
Pictures like this might not have been possible without their sugar
coated offerings. Thanks Girls!

Yes he is wearing shorts…..
The next morning Nick, Will and Tom dined on the
world famous continental breakfast at the hotel. Chris stayed at the
hotel and dined on toothpaste. After checking out (and being called
faggots by one of the locals in the parking lot) we made our trek to
Tucson. What a beautiful drive. It was like staring at paint for two
hours. God's country.
We got to Tucson at about 4pm and after a quick
stop at Tucson's famous Chicago music store we made our way to Chili's
for a delicious dinner where we dined on jackrabbit haunches and spiced
beef. We then laid under a woolen shawl
and…..uh….nothing.

We left Chili's and headed to Skrappy's where we
were to play that night. It's a cool little venue in the heart of
downtown Tucson. We had a great turnout of enthusiastic Tucsonians,
uhhh Tucsonites, uhhh people from Tucson. We played again with Mayday
Mayday and it was at this show that we decided to develop a fansite to
their drummer Taka. Why you ask? Why not? Taka rules. Thanks to all the
kids at Skrappy's who came out to support us, much love!

After the show we headed back to our hometown of
Phoenix. While we drove we watched Anchorman and chowed down on pumpkin
seeds and smelly hot dogs from Circle K.
Thanks to everyone for coming out and seeing us
and our pants.
Love,
Tom, Chris, Will and Nick
